What is CAS Manual Procedures?
CAS Manual Procedures is published periodically to explain actions
that should be (or have been) undertaken in order to use the Central
Accounting System (CAS). This volume supersedes any previous versions
of CAS Manual Procedures. Use it in conjunction with the I-AM and all
subsequent correspondence from State Accounting. You may download the
sections listed to the right.
Who needs CAS Manual Procedures?
This document is intended for fiscal officers, budgeting staff, account
clerks, data entry personnel, purchasing agents, revenue staff, voided
warrant processors, data processing staff, payroll officers and clerks,
and any other people who prepare information for accounting. A hard
copy of the entire document was mailed to your designated agency contact
in the spring of 2001.
What's new in CAS Manual Procedures?
There have been some changes to past procedures. Agency fiscal staff
should carefully review this document to make sure that your agency's
practices are in compliance and that you are taking advantage of changes
in State Accounting policy and CAS system capabilities.
