Retirement Plan
- Employee becomes member of the Public Employees Retirement System
- Vested upon attaining 5 years of contributing service
- Eligible to retire, at any age, upon attaining 30 years contributing service
Holidays
- 10 paid holidays per year
Personal Leave
- 32 hours per year
Sick Leave
- Accrues at 3.1 hours for each 80 hours in active pay status (excluding overtime)
Vacation Leave
- Eligible after one year of total state service
- 2 weeks after 1 year
- 3 weeks after 5 years
- 4 weeks after 10 years
- 4 ½ weeks after 15 years
- 5 weeks after 20 years
- 6 weeks after 25 years
Bereavement Leave
- 3 consecutive work days upon death of an immediate family member
Civic Duty Leave
- Paid leave when serving on a jury or attending court as a witness under a subpoena to which the employee is not a party
Tuition Assistance
- Provided at varying levels based on bargaining unit status
